THIS CONTEST ENDED 03/10/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED!

We're very proud of the amount of information and ideas we produce here at Sew4Home. Every weekday you'll find a new and inspiring post. But... we certainly don't claim to have a corner on the market. There are a lot of great books out there with all kinds of fun things to learn and do. Our Sew4Home Creative Bookshelf was overflowing and we thought it would be great to share a few good reads with you. We put together six books we think you'll love. There are four great project books from our friends at C&T Publishing, and two color and design books from our personal collections. All the books are brand new and looking for a place on the shelf of one lucky Sew4Home winner.

Our thanks to C&T Publishing for originally providing the four project books. We've listed links to the C&T site where all of them can still be ordered, most as both eBooks as well as printed book/eBook bundles.

You'll learn how to calculate the surface as well as the drop. There are also a variety of edge binding techniques shown. And, as the title spells out, 27 inspiring projects to put your new knowledge into practice right away.

From C&T Publishing, Oh Sew Easy Table Toppers is available online as both an eBook as well as a printed book/eBook bundle.

We've been wanting to try our hand at some needle felting projects here at S4H, and this book is part of the inspiration. You'll find complete instructions for hand and machine techniques using a variety of fibers, including techniques for both dry and wet felting. The projects are a lovely variety of pretty things to wear, bags to carry, funky jewelry, pillows, runners, bowls and more.

From C&T Publishing, Needle Felting is available online as both an eBook as well as a printed book/eBook bundle.

Don has also put together an indispensable visual troubleshooting guide to common machine quilting problems and solutions. And, he's included 50 quilting designs to practice with to gain the confidence to eventually draw your own.

Can one have too many books? I don't believe so, but DH seems to think I am hard on my bookshelves by making them groan with weight. I just tell him that I carry that weight in my brain by consuming all that knowledge. I follow you on Pinterest.
