THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/11/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

What fun we've had during the past three weeks of our Everything Old is New Again series, sponsored by Fabric.com! We brought back some of the old standards of the fabric world: candy colored seersucker, delicate eyelet, rich linen, traditional toile, flirty little floral prints, and crisp white cottons. By unleashing our imaginations on these "forgotten fabrics," we applied their old-fashioned goodness in new ways in eight great projects, and provided you with some tired-and-true sewing techniques as well, such as shirring, fagoting and hemstitching. To help celebrate all these terrific and trendy ways to use classic fabrics, Fabric.com has provided us with a $200 gift certificate. That's right: TWO Hundred Dollars!

One lucky Sew4Home fan will be going on a dream shopping spree. To sweeten the deal even more, we're adding a S4H Bonus Bundle: several generous ½ - 1 yard cuts of Clover Mini Iron II, which we reviewed during the series. For a chance to win, simply take a few minutes to browse the Fabric.com site, then leave us a short comment about your favorite "forgotten fabric" and what you would make from it.

We encourage you to give these great classic fabrics a try. Fabric.com has a wonderful selection of all the options we used throughout the series... as well as many, many... many more. Always at great discount prices and always with free shipping on orders of $35 and more.

Take a look back at these 11 projects, tips, and product reviews:

I have two sister expecting babies in sept. I'd love to make a quilt for one with the michael miller bug jars and ants prints. Not sure yet if my other sister is having a boy or girl, but so far thinking Joel dewberry aviary 2 would work.
My son saw the going coastal prints and asked me to make a tie out of the crab print.
I love anything Riley Blake, but right now the so Sophie prints are my fav!

I had not thought about seersucker in decades! How crisp and refreshing! I didn't realize that quality seersucker was available. I would love to make my own bed linens out of the blue. Fabric.com has become my GO TO fabric store. I have clicked on links from your projects and bought some really neat fabric from them that I would have never found myself without your blog. My latest purchase was Michael Miller's Gypsy Bandana fabric! It made a really cute skirt and jacket.

Great blog, by the way!

Amy Butler fabric would be on the top of my list. Then, seersucker to make those adorable pillows and pillow cases on Sew4Home, then Moda quilting fabrics. I have so many quilts dancing in my mind! Oh, and some pretty vintage repro. oilcloth to cover a sewing room table. I LOVE to sew and quilt!

I keep looking at lots of different damask fabric for a handbag. I'd also like to make a lime green/purple/peacock colored quilt someday or a bright yellow sunny one. I love the Michael Miller fabrics.

Fabric.com is great, so hard to choose, but I really like the blue and white
stripe seersucker, the trimmed sheets and pillows are so fresh and lovely.
I have an eyelet trimmed sheet set to embellish with the seersucker.

Thanks for the chance to enter this great Fabric.com giveaway. I've subscribed to their e-newsletter for what seems forever. The forgotten fabric that I would like to use for making a quilt is muslin for a backing. I like these muslin products: ES-171 Kona Premium Muslin 118'' Natural; and EL-320 108" Wide Colonial Premium Muslin Natural. Muslin looks great when doing hand quilting and I had forgotten about it.

I love dotted swiss, but you can almost never find it, or if you do, it's a pattern which just looks odd me. I have looked around fabric.com before, but I never saw it. This time I did a search of it and go figure, they have several different plain colors of dotted swiss (but they call it Swiss Dot...). I have one sundress that is dotted swiss that I get compliants on all the time, but it has seen better days. I'd love to take it apart and make a new dress in a new color, but with that same lovely dotted texture.

Love Fabric.com and have purchased from them quite a few times; there are so many current fabric lines they have that I love but if it's considered "forgotten" I do have a fondness for blue & white seersucker...there's just something so "fresh" about it. Thanks for chance to win this great giveaway! (marshudson at comcast dot net)
