THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/11/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

What fun we've had during the past three weeks of our Everything Old is New Again series, sponsored by Fabric.com! We brought back some of the old standards of the fabric world: candy colored seersucker, delicate eyelet, rich linen, traditional toile, flirty little floral prints, and crisp white cottons. By unleashing our imaginations on these "forgotten fabrics," we applied their old-fashioned goodness in new ways in eight great projects, and provided you with some tired-and-true sewing techniques as well, such as shirring, fagoting and hemstitching. To help celebrate all these terrific and trendy ways to use classic fabrics, Fabric.com has provided us with a $200 gift certificate. That's right: TWO Hundred Dollars!

One lucky Sew4Home fan will be going on a dream shopping spree. To sweeten the deal even more, we're adding a S4H Bonus Bundle: several generous ½ - 1 yard cuts of Clover Mini Iron II, which we reviewed during the series. For a chance to win, simply take a few minutes to browse the Fabric.com site, then leave us a short comment about your favorite "forgotten fabric" and what you would make from it.

We encourage you to give these great classic fabrics a try. Fabric.com has a wonderful selection of all the options we used throughout the series... as well as many, many... many more. Always at great discount prices and always with free shipping on orders of $35 and more.

Take a look back at these 11 projects, tips, and product reviews:

I am redoing my sewing room and am using a vintage theme. My grandmother taught me to sew and I want this "new" room to remind me of her and all the fun we always had together. I particularly like the Moda Made With Love fabrics from Fabric.com as well as the dotted swiss in turquoise.

Toile has always been my favorite... but I'm so impressed with the seersucker on the sheet sets... dotted swiss is so sweet... So, I think that all of the bedrooms in the house "need" updated sheet sets and new curtains, the kitchen "needs" a tablecloth, some oven mitts, and an apron or two, dresses for the girls, shirts for the boys, something awesome for Husbie, and perhaps even something pretty for me! Thanks for all of the inspiration here!!

But in checking out fabric.com, I have to say I'd get some of the Premier Prints Animal Print fabrics--those elephants and giraffes would be absolutely perfect for some projects for me sweet little boy. What a fabulous giveaway! There's gonna be one happy sewist when the name is drawn smilies/smiley.gif

Love fabric.com, great prices on my favorite linen. As I was looking through the site I came across the lovely toiles. They remind of wallpaper my parents used to have in their home. I think they would make a lovely tote. I like Moda California Girl Playtime Toile print for my tote.

I love the toile and would love to make some fun placemats out of it...perfect for the summer and they would give my kids something to look at when they are done eating, but dinner isn't over. I think it would be fun to make some little sundresses out of toile for my daughter too, maybe using the shirred tutorial...I have always wanted to try this technique!

I am a long time fan of Fabrics.com. I love the service I have always gotten from them. My favorite "find" was beautiful poly drapery sheer fabric for a shower curtain. I have an unusually sized shower and won't pay "designer" prices. So I made my own. Lots of raves....

As a person who grew up in the South, I have fond memories of fellow churchmembers wearing garments made of Classic Seersucker (Light Blue & White) as found on Fabric.com. It was simply too hot to wear anything else. Those fabrics will always bring summer to me no matter what the calendar says. I would like to make some Home Dec items with all the varieties of seersucker that Fabric.com offers!

Thanks for the chance to win!

I love those seersuckers! I think some of those colors made into a sweet little girl's dress would really look great with some fun, funky ribbon and ric-rac trim options. I love the ruffles used for the pillows, but I would choose some more bold complimentary colors for the embellishments to add a modern splash.

I am already a big fan of Fabric. com for a few years now. But I was surprised to find today was birds eye diaper fabric. I never thought about making diapers until then. Talk about Everything being old and new again. The diaper options are endless. A big change since I had my kids. Thank you Fabric.com and Sew4home.

My forgotten fabric is terry cloth. I once helped a friend make a throw of sorts to lay on a lounge chair by the pool. We put quilt blocks on a solid colored beach towel and it made a pretty and unique throw. So I would do something similar using the terry cloth. Might even make a few embellished hand towels as well. I am a regular customer of fabric.com and love their selection. Thanks for the chance to win!

Going to have to say the seersucker. My 11 year old granddaughter is learning how to sew (she was really hoping I would have won the "Hello Kitty" machine LOL) and I think we could make an easy sun-dress for her out of it.

I was thinking recently about the great baby pincord dresses I made for my daughters when they were small, and was excited to find that very fabric at fabric.com! I think it would become either a cross-body bag or a a storage basket for guest supplies in the guest room, or maybe both!!

Fabric.com is my go-to place for project materials! Since I started sewing late last summer, I have placed hundreds of dollars worth of orders with them and have never been disappointed.

I loved the spotlight you put on the beautiful seersucker they have - I've been looking at it for some summer accessory projects like matching summer hat and bag sets. I'm also trying to figure out if I can manage a simple pair of shorts (my first clothing project!) with some of the lovely pique fabric they have for sale. I'm also hoping to see if I can manage to use gauze to make a simple beach coverup from the selection they have.

I love teaching myself new skills with each project I take on and Fabric.com makes it so easy to get the supplies I need!

When I was a little girl, seersucker was THE fabric for the summer! Every year my mother would make me a pair of "pedal pushers" from blue or red seersucker, with a top trimmed with the same fabric. It made such a cool and comforable outfit. I will be making a pair of capris for myself this summer - thanks for reminding me that seersucker is such a versatile fabric! Oh, and by the way - I'm making plans for that lovely sheet set for my guest bedroom in lime green. "Everything old is new again" has been inspiring!

I love Fabric.com. You can find anything there at great prices. My forgotton fabric that I found on Fabric.com was pink gingham. My wedding colors were pink and gold. The curtains in the room where the reception was to be held were blue. I was looking for an economical fabric that would allow me to make window toppers for 8 windows. I found it there for a better than reasonable price. It was an ah-ha moment. They were absolutely perfect for the tearoom look and feel I was going for. I still have the curtains that I now use for girly showers and parties held in that room.

Thanks for the opportunity.
