THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/25/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

It's a Shopping Day at Sew4Home. Our friends, Dennis and Tonia of Fashionable Fabrics have provided us with TWO $50 gift certificates. And, because Fashionable Fabrics is already set-up to ship both within the US as well as internationally, this drawing is open to all our Sew4Home visitors. WOW! I can hear those screams of delight from all around the globe.

Entering to win one of the two $50 Fashionable Fabrics gift certificates is easy!

THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/25/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

Fashionable Fabrics is known for its selection of fashion forward prints and patterns from many of your favorite designers. Tonia and Dennis started the business because, as sewers and crafters themselves, they were tired of being unable to find the prettiest, trendiest fabrics in local stores. "We love unique collections and novelty prints," says Tonia. "But very few of these fabrics can be found in the large retail chains." Their original frustration is now your shopping opportunity! From Alexander Henry to Art Gallery to Monaluna, as well as Free Spirit, Moda and Michael Miller. If it's new and cool, Fashionable Fabrics is likely to have it in stock for you.

Smile when you say that!

To enter, simply take a few minutes to visit Fashionable Fabrics. Browse through their selection until you spot a special fabric that makes you smile. Then come back to Sew4Home and post a comment here. Tell us about the fabric you found that brightened your day.

We will draw one person at random from everyone who posts a qualifying comment on this article as of midnight PT May 25, 2012. No purchase necessary to enter. Void where prohibited.

We will contact two random winners by email to confirm your information and to coordinate redemption of the $50 gift certificates.

Make it easy for us to notify you should you be our lucky winner. Simply register with us and login before you comment. Your email address is then hidden from view.

Remember, post your comment below to enter.

Scroll to the BOTTOM of the page to find the comment window. After you post, your comment will automatically display at the TOP of the comments on the page.

Thanks for an international giveaway and thanks for stating it upfront. I usually skip all the exciting giveaway, as it always only applies to Americans. Fashionable Fabrics is such a great store! The donkies in the bright rubber boots on the front page (Jack and Jenny in Water by Laurie Wisbrun) immediately gave me a big smile!

I'd like to make some sewing-themed projects with my new sewing machine (such as a sewing machine cover), and I spotted at least 3 sewing-themed patterns in the Remnants section which would be perfect as sewing machine covers. "Nice Threads" by Alexander Henry would probably be the easiest for a beginning sewer to work with, because it's an all-over pattern; however, "Home Sewing is Easy" (also by Alexander Henry) and "If She Sews, She Knows" (by Michael Miller Fabrics) were cute, too. (The "If She Sews, She Knows" remnant was the largest (nearly a full yard-length if cut from a bolt), and would be the best for a larger sewing room accessory project.)

I love the Spots and Stripes in Natural. I'm looking to decorate my son's room, and it's perfect for a chair cover that can hold up to a boisterous little boy and still look great.

The Veggie Tale stripe is so fun and the fact that the stripe is on the diagonal means TONS of possibilities. And the Ghastly Crewel prints in the various color choices are dreamy. But, truthfully, there are a LOT of great fabrics here. Who could pick just one?

I love the vintage Farmdale Curio in Pink fabric from In the Kitchen by Alexander Henry Fabrics. The pink is such a retro coral pink--just awesome!...and the creamy circles and vintage floral print all combine to make a lovely, happy fabric that would be wonderful to use in a quilt, for an apron, or for any project!
