Crazy Love by Jennifer Paganelli for Free Spirit Fabrics just came out the end of February and it has been flying off fabric shop shelves. The jewel tone colors and almost psychedelic mix of reds with hot pinks, orange with lavender and rich chocolaty browns sing in intricate patterns. It's an interesting design blend of classic, free-flowing bohemian shapes plus a hint of the linear symmetry of 1920's art deco. Sounds almost crazy, but it's love at first sight.
From apparel to home décor, Crazy Love has so many possibilities. Be sure to check Jennifer's Look Book for ideas. She has designed thirteen fabric collections for Free Spirit Fabric, written two gorgeous sewing books (see our It's A Girl's World review), has a beautiful line of Sis Boom sewing patterns, and has licenced her designs for products too numerous to count.
If you see a particular fabric online you like, you can check your favorite fabric source to find out if they have it in stock or can get it for you. Be sure to look at our Shopping Directory for our fave sources. You can also try Googling the fabric name along with the designer's name or the design house, for example: "Crazy Love" and Free Spirit Fabrics. Prints from older collections can sometimes be found on Etsy or eBay. If you love a fabric, get it while you can. Because, like fashionable apparel, popular fabrics come and go; at some point, even the most amazing fabrics are no longer in stores or online.
