Congratulations to Six New Great Giveaway Winners

We've sponsored six Great Giveways over the past few months, generating six happy winners. All of us here at Sew4Home, as well as our great sponsors and friends who help provide the terrific prizes, send our heartiest congratulations to all the winners. But even more than that, we thank each and every one of you for taking the time to add your comments, become part of our social media and newsletter communities, and pass along our site to your friends and family. We appreciate you all so much!

One Winner of a Creativebug Subscription

Creativebug is one of the best online resources for inspiring video workshops in the wide world of art and craft instruction. We were excited to help them promote their Pattern Drafting series with Cal Patch. They offered up a three-month subscription to one lucky winner, and our winner was Angie L. of Mt. Vernon, Oregon. Angie is a loyal visitor and commenter who has shared several pictures of projects she's made from Sew4Home tutorials. With a busy household, Angie usually has less than 30 minutes at a time to sew, but she makes the most of it! Learning more about pattern drafting is something she's very excited about.

One Winner of the Slipcovers, Pillows & Bedding Book

This comprehensive book received a lot of interest. Bigger projects around the house, such as slipcovers, upholstery techniques, and super-specialized shapes and sizes require specific information and techniques. This book has it all - with over 500 instructional photos. Our winner was Jo Anne of Loveland, Ohio. At 80-years-old, she still loves to sew at least once a week.

One Winner of a Set of Four Charm Packs from Fat Quarter Shop

We love the Shortcut Quilts series from Fat Quarter Shop (FQS). This semi-regular quilt program is designed to make great use of pre-cut bundles, and features projects that are fast, simple and cute-as-can-be! The third quilt in the series was Charm Pack Cherry. FQS helped us give away a set of FOUR Charm Packs to one lucky S4H visitor to make her/his very own version of the quilt top. Our winner was Shirley of Story City, Iowa. Shirley visits Sew4Home nearly every day, and says she can always count on finding something new to inspire her.

One Winner of our Tax Day Giveaway

This past April 15th, a day when so many give so much, we decided to soften the blow with a giveaway of our own. We bundled up some pretty fabric cuts and sparkling Madeira thread from our stash and put them into a spring tote. We asked you to tell us which types of S4H projects have been your favorites and what you'd like to see in the future. There is now a fabulous list of ideas, which we'll dip into in the coming months. Our winner was Stephanie from California. Her mom taught her to sew when Stephanie was just 8-years-old. And, we really loved the fact that her mom was also the one to introduce her to Sew4Home!

One Winner of the Social Media Survey Drawing

With the social media landscape changing on an almost daily basis, we decided to go directly to you, our visitors, to learn how your own social media habits are evolving. Our thanks for all your feedback; it was extremely helpful. From all the completed surveys, we drew our random winner: Kim from Norfolk, Virginia. Kim sews for herself, her family and her home, burning the midnight oil to express her creativity, "I tend to sew at night after my children have gone to bed and have been known to sew until 3AM or later!"  Her prize of a mystery grab bag of fabric should keep her sewing until the sun comes up.

One Winner of the New Ribbon Embellishments Book

We reviewed this fabulous new book just a few weeks ago, and the outpouring of excitement was amazing. From strands of simple ribbon, Elaine Schmidt (I like to refer to her as "the ribbon whisperer") shows you how to make trims, rosettes, sculptures, baubles and beads... one hundred wonderful techniques. Our winner was Marcia Rodgers of Denver, Colorado. Marcia turns to Sew4Home for inspiration to make useful items for her home, and she is always thrilled to hear about interesting products and learn new techniques.

Thanks again to our great sponsors for generously providing such wonderful Giveaways. When you support them, you support us - and we all benefit.

We have more Great Giveaways planned so stay tuned... and stay creative. Your lucky day may be next.

I would pair the Picotee Poppy on Purple - Philip Jacobs with the Olive Bombay in one bag. Mother left this earth last summer, and like many of that generation, she loved geraniums. Philip Jacobs fabric always reminds me of her, and I made her many things from this designer when she was alive. The Olive Bombaby "feels" like me, and I would combine them in one project to keep me and my mother blended.
