We have twenty happy winners from ten Great Giveaways! Thanks to the generosity of our amazing Sew4Home sponsors and friends, we get to do lots of fun giveaways of fabric, notions, books and more. This past year was no exception... with the last few months being particularly action-packed. We know you're always interested to hear who won, so today we bring you news of lucky folks from Alabama to Australia. Maybe next time, it will be you!
One Winner of a Halloween Mystery Fabric Grab Bag
This spooky yet spectacular prize went to Katie F. of Lake Elsinore, California. When she received her bundle of goodies, Katie tells us she was busily sewing aprons, dish towels, potholders, fleece blankets and doggie coats for holiday gifts. Better get going for this year's gifts!
One Winner of the New Where Women Create Book
Christina of YarmouthPort, Massachusetts was the perfect winner for the inspiration within the new WWC book "Quilters, Their Quilts, Their Studios, Their Stories. "Because of limited space, my bedroom is where I create. The floor or the bed becomes by cutting table and my husband can usually find me crawling around on my knees."
Three Winners of Three Mystery Boxes
Thanks to YOU and your friends, we hit the 40,000 mark with our Facebook likes on November 11, 2013. To celebrate, we gave away three Holiday Mystery Gift Boxes chockfull of fabric and notions. Stay tuned: we're already planning our next Giveaway because we recently broke the 50,000 barrier! Our three lucky Mystery Box winners were:
Shari Ross of Naperville, Illinois – she's obsessed with our structured fabric baskets, claiming to have made "zillions" and sending us a photo to prove it.
Tena Sanders of Magnolia, Arkansas – who often turns to the Sew4Home Pinterest boards to fuel her passion for creativity.
Barbara Gilbert of Ocala, Florida - a self-professed "digi geek" who loves designing patterns for her digital cutter... and who loves Sew4Home!
Four Winners of Fabric.com Gift Certificates
To celebrate our two-week Deck The Halls holiday series with Fabric.com, they very generously provided FOUR $50 gift certificates. We received hundreds of entries, telling us what was on everyone's 2014 Sewing Resolution lists. Our four lucky winners were:
Ann Sprague of Ashland, Missouri – her number one sewing goal for the year is to clean, clear, de-clutter and reorganize her sewing room.
Danette Standovich of Monessen, Pennslyvania – she has "learning to sew with faux fur" on the top of her sewing resolution list.
Marg Morris of Adelaide, South Australia – who turned to our Deck the Halls series for resolution inspiration; she's determined to make FIVE sleepover bags with matching pillowcases for her grandkids.
Rachel of Pueblo, Colorado - she's ready to try something she's never done before in 2014: pillowcases and cuddly Minky blankets.
One Winner of a Janome DC2013 from SewVacDirect
We held a HUGE New Year Celebration from December through January by partnering with a number of our wonderful S4H sponsors to bring you some Amazing Deals & Great Giveaways. It kicked-off in a BIG way when our friends at SewVacDirect offered up a Janome DC2013 sewing machine! The lucky winner was young mom, Jennifer Reed of Lorain, Ohio. The new machine will be a big boost for her goal to sew something every day. She was off to a good start by creating ALL hand-sewn gifts this past Christmas.
Three Winners of Fat Quarter Shop Layer Cake Bundles
In honor of their Shortcut Quilts series of fast and fun tutorials, Fat Quarter Shop gathered up three beautiful layer cakes from Jan Patek, Studio M and Sweetwater. We drew these three lucky winners to receive them:
Cathy Johnson of Leeds, Alabama – who is spending her days making baby and nursery items for her first grandbabies; her daughter is having twins!
Annmarie from Rhinelander, Wisconsin – she's been sewing since age 14, and eight years ago caught the quilting bug; these pre-cuts are just the ticket for that.
Christine Hall of Beavercreek Township, Ohio – her favorite part of S4H tutorials is being able to link directly to the materials needed to make the projects; it lets her get going with her creativity right away.
Two Winners of Ribbon Prize Boxes from Renaissance Ribbons
Ribbon is an excellent way to add instant beauty to a project, and the two winners of these generous prize boxes got yards and yards of on-the-spot loveliness! Congratulations to (yes -- both winners were named Karen!):
Karen Valenti of Macomb, Michigan – who insists she "never wins anything" but now thanks her lucky stars for such a windfall of beauty.
Karen of Sugar Land, Texas – an avid sewer who loves to use ribbons for embellishment on wool appliqué projects.
One Winner of a $40 Gift Certificate from The Ribbon Retreat
When you have such a huge selection of both fabric and ribbon, a wide open gift certificate is the best gift of all. Our friends at The Ribbon Retreat sent a $40 shopping certificate to MaryAnn McDonald of Box Elder, South Dakota. She's thinking of all the things she wants and all the things she can embellish, but first up is a blanket for a friend's baby shower.
Two Winners of Mystery Grab Bags from Coats
It's one of the most recognized names in sewing and needlecraft, and deservedly so! Whether your passion is sewing or quilting, crochet, knitting, needlework or crafts, your creative endeavors are likely to include Coats. These two lucky winners received great surprise boxes of all kinds of clever Coats products:
Terissa Roberts of Port Orange, Florida – who started sewing only about a dozen years ago and who now focuses on her love of quilting.
Gina of Waverly Iowa – she enjoys making everything from bags and clothes to quilts and pillows. No need to list each thing... she just loves to sew!
Two Winners of Big, Beautiful Gift Bags from Dritz
This summer we welcomed Dritz as a new sponsor of Sew4Home, and this winter they joined in the celebration by giving away two big gift bags full of terrific Dritz products. We loved hearing everyone's comments about which Dritz products they couldn't live (or sew) without. Congrats go out to:
Cathy of Waterloo, Iowa – who is teaching her granddaughter to sew. Winter's been hard in Iowa, and sewing helps her make their days more cozy and enjoyable.
Julie Barkley of Oaktown, Indiana – she just got THREE antique sewing machines for Christmas! "Now I have plenty of inspiration and new fun stuff to use!"
Congratulations one and all, and thanks to everyone for taking the time to add your comments, become part of our social media and newsletter communities, and pass along our site to your friends and family. And, thanks again to our great sponsors for generously providing such wonderful Giveaways. When you support them, you support us - and we all benefit.
We have more Great Giveaways planned throughout 2014. Stay tuned, and stay creative. Your lucky day may be coming soon.
