It was our biggest series ever and certainly one of our biggest Great Giveaways ever. Just after Christmas, we drew one winner at random from the nearly 500 comments posted to the site.
Christy Lee of Bowie, Maryland responded almost immediately to our email, her iPhone shaking in her hands and her heart "flipping out."
Christy started sewing just over a year ago and became addicted almost instantly. We're thrilled to help feed Christy's addiction, and that of her young daughter.
"I am 36 and have a 6-year-old daughter plus many nieces and nephews who I sew for. In the last few months, my daughter has picked up on my sewing passion and has started little basic projects. She's almost as addicted to fabric as I am (my husband is scared). I found S4H while skimming for tutorials and I just loved all the fabric and projects. Your website became a quick favorite and definitely one I reference for tips regularly. I really love the awesome mix of tutorials and sewing projects. Your articles are so easy to read and follow and just plain get me excited to start sewing projects! I love all the fabrics you showcase and have bought many of them because I saw them in your tutorials. I can't tell you how excited I am to win fabrics!! I'm in heaven!!"
Christy won 26 fabric cuts: eight from Amy Butler's Alchemy collection for Rowan Fabrics, Six from Ty Pennington's Fall 2012 collection from Ty Pennington Impressions, Six cuts from Melissa White's Amelie's Attic collection for Rowan Fabrics, and six cotton cuts from Pirouette by Verna Mosquera for FreeSpirit. Plus, three patterns from Amy Butler, three pretty patterns from Verna Mosquera's Vintage Spool line, and, Amy Butler's book, Style Stitches: 12 wonderful ways to 26 wonderful bags!
We asked those of you who entered to win to tell us your favorite project or tutorial. Christy's favorite was the Amy Butler Clutch. If you didn't get a chance to see everything during the series, take a look back now to find something to love:

All of these incredible fabrics started arriving online and in-store in late November and continued throughout December. Check out the Westminster Fibers Retailer Locator. Remember, not all shops take delivery and/or display fabrics on the same schedule, so actual in-stock dates may vary. Also, you can always ask your favorite local independent fabric retailer to special order fabric for you.
Our thanks to everyone who enjoyed the series and entered to win. And, a GIANT THANKS to everyone at Westminster Fibers Lifestyle Fabrics and Ty Pennington Impressions for sponsoring our Series and supplying such a generous Great Giveaway prize package!
Stay tuned for more giveaways throughout the year. We love passing along these fun gifts to our wonderful S4H visitors.

Congratulations to the Winner of the Happy Holidays with FreeSpirit & Rowan Great Giveaway

Yes, congratulations Christy ! Maybe one day, you allow us to see what creative things you will have made with this beautiful fabric too. Good Sewing to you.
This lucky girl got her box of wonder yesterday woop woop!! Thanks S4H, Westminster, Lifestyle, and Ty Pennington! I should have recorded my daughters reaction when i laid it all out....she pounced and did her best to make off with some of my stash! Currently I am finishing up the shades of pink petal tote bag for my MawMaw and then I will dig into all my fabric and pattern winnings and figure out tons of new projects. Honestly I'll probably do what I do when I get any new fabric that I love....sit and stare at it for at least a week (Y'all know that feeling!).
Congratulations! Have fun with your new stash! Soooo envious!!
Congratulations! Would be lovely to see what you do with all this!
Congratulations, Christy!
