THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/11/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

What fun we've had during the past three weeks of our Everything Old is New Again series, sponsored by Fabric.com! We brought back some of the old standards of the fabric world: candy colored seersucker, delicate eyelet, rich linen, traditional toile, flirty little floral prints, and crisp white cottons. By unleashing our imaginations on these "forgotten fabrics," we applied their old-fashioned goodness in new ways in eight great projects, and provided you with some tired-and-true sewing techniques as well, such as shirring, fagoting and hemstitching. To help celebrate all these terrific and trendy ways to use classic fabrics, Fabric.com has provided us with a $200 gift certificate. That's right: TWO Hundred Dollars!

One lucky Sew4Home fan will be going on a dream shopping spree. To sweeten the deal even more, we're adding a S4H Bonus Bundle: several generous ½ - 1 yard cuts of Clover Mini Iron II, which we reviewed during the series. For a chance to win, simply take a few minutes to browse the Fabric.com site, then leave us a short comment about your favorite "forgotten fabric" and what you would make from it.

We encourage you to give these great classic fabrics a try. Fabric.com has a wonderful selection of all the options we used throughout the series... as well as many, many... many more. Always at great discount prices and always with free shipping on orders of $35 and more.

Take a look back at these 11 projects, tips, and product reviews:

I've been seeking fabric for a very large curtain to be used as a room divider. The
colors in Swavelle/Mill Creek Fantini Stripe Volcano, Item Number: UL-276, would coordinate with my paint and furniture perfectly. I've never purhcased fabric online before. this is anice introduction. Thanks.

hi! I'm familiar with fabric.com already, but today I searched to see if they have dotted swiss - I remember fondly a pair of yellow dot curtains my friend had in her farmhouse bedroom. I just might make some for my guest room using "swiss dot" from fabric.com.smilies/wink.gif

I too, love the seersucker. My mom made all kinds of things with it while I was little. A couple of years ago I made a bathing suit out of seersucker for my little girl and monogrammed her initials on the front, absolutely adorable!! I think one of the forgotten fabrics would have to be lace fabric. It seems to be coming back in some local stores. I would love to make a tiered skirt out of it with maybe a baptiste underskirt. So pretty and so comfy!! Great giveaway, can't wait to see who wins!!

When browsing Fabric.com, I discovered the seersucker fabrics. smilies/grin.gif Immediately, visions of my youth passed before me. How proud and happy my mom was to make me a seersucker shorts and button top. Being the only girl in our family, I usually had the benefit of getting special items made for me by mom. Seersucker was one of the fabrics she loved and she passed both the love of sewing and seersucker on to me!

The "forgotten fabric" that interests me most is the linen. I like the linen placemats, or maybe alter them to make a table runner. The fabric I would use is the European Linen Fabric, Mosaic Blue (CV-169).
