THIS CONTEST ENDED 5/11/12. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

What fun we've had during the past three weeks of our Everything Old is New Again series, sponsored by Fabric.com! We brought back some of the old standards of the fabric world: candy colored seersucker, delicate eyelet, rich linen, traditional toile, flirty little floral prints, and crisp white cottons. By unleashing our imaginations on these "forgotten fabrics," we applied their old-fashioned goodness in new ways in eight great projects, and provided you with some tired-and-true sewing techniques as well, such as shirring, fagoting and hemstitching. To help celebrate all these terrific and trendy ways to use classic fabrics, Fabric.com has provided us with a $200 gift certificate. That's right: TWO Hundred Dollars!

One lucky Sew4Home fan will be going on a dream shopping spree. To sweeten the deal even more, we're adding a S4H Bonus Bundle: several generous ½ - 1 yard cuts of Clover Mini Iron II, which we reviewed during the series. For a chance to win, simply take a few minutes to browse the Fabric.com site, then leave us a short comment about your favorite "forgotten fabric" and what you would make from it.

We encourage you to give these great classic fabrics a try. Fabric.com has a wonderful selection of all the options we used throughout the series... as well as many, many... many more. Always at great discount prices and always with free shipping on orders of $35 and more.

Take a look back at these 11 projects, tips, and product reviews:

Polka dots, gingham, dotted swiss and eyelet were my favorites. I love fabric.com and believe they have the best selection and pricing. I have always found whatever I wanted on that site and the free shipping is great too. My mother used to make all of my clothes and in the summer, I got beautiful seersucker sunsuits. I learned to sew on my mom's Singer treadle machine and in her later years, she went back to her first love of quilting. She made some beautiful quilts and, to this day, can still see some of those sunsuit fabrics.

OMG, I've never been to fabric.com before and I'm SO EXCITED to find the Lakeside Camping by Quilting Treasures. I've been searching for a year and a half now for some buffalo plaid like this collection has so I can make a quilt for some very dear friends of ours who have a cabin in the woods. I'm so excited I can finally make them the quilt that will suit their decor and give it to them this holiday season!!! Thank you Sew 4 Home for bringing this website to my attention! smilies/cheesy.gif *happy dance*

As I was looking thru the web site for the first time I came across the Timeless Treasures Fleur collection is my forgotten find. I was reminded that I have always wanted to do a stained glass medallion type of quilt, or wall hanging. The florals in this collection would work perfectly in the quilt that I have in my mind's eye. Thanks for reminding me about something I have always wanted to do I think in the back of my mind I was just waiting to find the perfect fabric! Now I won't have an excuse anymore.

My favorite current forgotten fabrics are anything dotty -- polka dots, Stella dots, Ta dots and most especially those pin dots. Those pin dots reminds me of the old days (40+ years ago) where mother used some of those fabrics. I love them. Thank you for a chance to win.

I love the look of this item: 'Kaufman Waterford Linen White
Item Number: FF-364'. I adore linen EVERYTHING! But this looks like it would make some really nice handkerchiefs. I might hand roll them, but more than likely I'll do it by machine and then trim with some tatted edging. smilies/smiley.gif Fun!!

My forgotten fabric is Dotted Swiss. 40 years ago my mother made my wedding gown out of Dotted Swiss with a flower trim on the sleeves and neck. Very 60s/70s hippie wedding gown. My 40th anniversary is this September and I'd love to make something out of Dotted Swiss in honor of the original wedding dress.
