Last August, we introduced you to six pillows chockfull of our own crazy personalities - from a sneaky crocodile to romantic roses and lace to a Nancy Drew® secret pocket pillow. At the same time, we encouraged all of you to use a Fairfield insert or filler to make a pillow with pizzazz, then enter it to win! The pillow entries went directly to Fairfield and were posted on their Facebook wall as well as onto a special board on their Pinterest page. The twenty photos that generated the most activity at these social media outlets were collected as the semi-finalists. From theses top twenty semi-finalists, an industry panel of judges selected the five major winners. Today we officially congratulate all the winners and show you their winning pillows.
Our thanks to everyone who entered. All the pillows submitted were wonderful, and Fairfield was thrilled with your creativity. Thanks goes out as well to our judges:

Our Grand Prize winner is Dona Reynolds
She wins a Home Elegance Pillow Assortment, a $178 Retail Value
Dona makes pillows for Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Her photo shows 24 of those pillows, one of many deliveries for the kids. The pillows are about 10" square, just the right size for hugging when you're scared. All pillows are made from fleece, felt and fiberfill from Fairfield, so they are easily washable and very soft.
Our First Prize winner is Maggie Lourim
She wins a Home Elegance/Soft Touch Assortment, a $106 Retail Value
Maggie tells us her Nature Theme Pillow was so fun to make, she's considering doing an entire series of them. The pillow is all about nature and the great outdoors. Maggie lives in an area surrounded by trees, birds and wild flowers, and she loves to capture the outside to bring it inside.
Our Second Prize winner is Margarita Korioth
She wins a Soft Touch 6-Piece Pillow Bundle, a $76 Retail Value
This clever pillow was made for a college-bound daughter. It features a fun chalkboard cloth inset. When her daughter visits, Margarita writes her a message in chalk and places the pillow on the bed. When it's time to return to college, her daughter, in turn, leaves Mom a goodbye message. It's a game they both love to play that shortens the distance between them.
Our Third Prize winner is Colleen Ingalls
She wins a Soft Touch 4-Piece Pillow Bundle, a $54 Retail Value
Colleen made this pretty hexagon bolster pillow by hand for her eight-year-old daughter, using English paper piecing and Poly-Fil. The design is a rainbow of ¾" hexagon flowers arranged in a spiral around the pillow. With lots of fun colors and shapes, this pillow reflects her daughter's unique personality and style.
Our Runner Up Prize winner is Cindy Wohlenhaus
She wins a Soft Touch 2-Piece Pillow Bundle, a $22 Retail Value
Made from a modified pattern from a book by Jenny Harada, "Ralph the Monster" was created in faux fur, felt and fleece, then stuffed with 14x14 Decorator's Choice pillow form. Although Ralph might look a little scary, he's really a soft and friendly guy who just wants to be loved. He went to live with a special little boy in Colorado.
The remaining 15 semi-finalists each receive a 12oz bag of Poly-Fil Supreme® Fiberfil. Congratulations to these creative women:

The Great Fairfield Pillow Personality Contest Winners

I had been watching for this post but somehow missed it, and a friend just told me she saw it. It's an honor to be on your website. Thank you! :D
congratulations to the winners for their wonderful entries - pretty pillows all
Congratulations to all the winners! Very creative entries! Fun contest!!
Recentaly I saw an octagonal pillow demonstrated on a tv show. One of the things said was to always line a pillow top. It puts less stress on the pillow and it not likely to unravel. I am remaking pillows now because the washable covers fell apart. I am going to back the tops and test this theory.
