Tonia and Dennis started the business because, as sewers and crafters themselves, they were tired of being unable to find the prettiest, trendiest fabrics in local stores. "We love unique collections and novelty prints," says Tonia. "But very few of these fabrics can be found in the large retail chains." Their original frustration is now your shopping opportunity! From Alexander Henry to Art Gallery to Monaluna, as well as Free Spirit, Moda and Michael Miller. If it's new and cool, Fashionable Fabrics is likely to have it in stock for you.

We will draw one person at random from everyone who posts a qualifying comment on this article as of midnight PT May 25, 2012. No purchase necessary to enter. Void where prohibited.

I love to browse through the Fashionable Fabrics web site! Blake Riley's Woodland Tails Deer in Cream by Sheri Berry always stops me in my tracks! I love to make little boys shortalls and longalls out of that sweet fabric! I actually adore the whole line! Alexander Henry's 'A Ghastlie Night' has made me smile (make that grin ear to ear) since the first day I saw it! The characters are so uniquely strange and, well, ghastly in a funny way.
The Ghastlie series would make a wonderful quilt for my niece as she's a bit funny too.
