Happy Holidays with FreeSpirit & Rowan: Great Giveaway!

Oh my goodness, look at the beautiful things I could make with this cloth and stuff. It's beautiful!
Thanks for the tutorial on laminates and the all weather tote. Purchased some laminate to make this for my daughter.
This website has been enourmously helpful to someone getting back into sewing after so many years. I have so many of your projects on my to do list (although somewhat restricted time due to having a two year old!). I loved the invisibl zipper tutorial and have managed two cushions so far. The tissue covers made great gifts for the daycare teacherand the zippered pouch is next. The new Ty Pennington collection is lovely. Happy holidays.
These fabric look great. Sewing is so relaxing and fun. I have enjoyed reviewing your site almost every day. The ideas and tutorials make every project be completed smoothly.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Merry Christmas

Oh my goodness. This giveaway is SO generous.
I have just found your website. I enjoy sewing and do alot of sewing for my family. I want to make the casserole carrier that you have on your site after christmas. Looking forward to many new projects that I can make with your help. The detailed pictures really will be a big help. I am making a quilt for my granddaughter for christmas. I am so glad that I found your site, Sew4home.
I LOVE invisible zippers! Try favorite totorial was the invisible zipper because of the simple step of finishing off the fabric edges under the zipper. Why have I never taken the time?
I think the best tutorials are the ones that cover techniques. My favorite is the one on velveteen. I especially like the explanation of the various types of velvets and how they are woven and manufactured. Because it is not as common of a substrate, I think these tutorials are particularly useful.
I think the best tutorials are the techniques and working with various substrates. My favorite is working with the velveten with an explanation on the various types of velvet and processes to make different kinds of velvet.
The zippered pouch and pocket tissue cover were my favorites because of the beautiful fabrics and the detailed instructions. I look forward to the Sew4Home articles every day because they give me the confidence to try things I didn't think I could handle. The instructions are clear and well-written. Keep up the good work!
All weather laminate tote, I have never work with laminate and would like to give it a try. The fabric is beautiful. This is my favorite site. The projects are all fantastic, and I wish I had the time and money to do them all. Thanks for the projects list that is ready for me to find when I need them.
These are the most beautiful collection of fabrics ever! I am inspired to create the "Quilted Sugar & Spice Throw", "Fussy Cut Pillow Creates Own Frame", & the "Lumber Pillow w/hand-stitched Accents" from several of the fabrics. What a terrific way to add a pop of color to a home during the dreary winter! FreeSpirit & Rowan fabrics incorporate the most interesting combination of colors and designs, and they have quickly become my all-time favorite go-to source for any sewing project. I have gained so many timesaving techniques from your website--not to mention endless ideas for home & gifts for family & friends. Sew4Home--you rock! Will continue to spread the word about your first-class website. I'm addicted for life! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2013 to everyone!
Oops! Hit return twice...
My favorite articles were the "How to Install a Zipper" series... Zippers scared me because they seemed so difficult. But after following along and sewing a few zippers into pillow covers, I feel that I have finally conqured my fear of the Zipper! Thanks!!
Love the pom pom pinwheel pillow! Thanks!
Piped Pillow with Tassels in Alchemy
..........Is one of my favorites, all lthough I like all the pillow patterns. My daughter just moved into their first house 2 weeks ago. I am taking vacation time at Christmas to go visit her and we having shopping/sewing plans. Our plans include getting fabric to make pillows, valances, some kitchen goodies and other home dec things while I am there. I am really excited to be able to help her. These fabrics are just her taste too! Should be fun!

Running out of time before Christmas (there are still cookies to bake, after all!), so new sewing projects may have to wait until next year. But I'm planning on making some of the zippered pouches (from the Ty Pennington article). I'm still afraid of using laminates, but I really like the idea of the all-weather tote (from the Amy Butler article). Maybe I'll make that with regular cotton first to get the hang of it and then challenge myself with the laminate! Sew4Home's step-by-step articles are great. I've bookmarked a bunch (and have sewn several of your projects). Keep up the amazing work -- you have many fans!!
I'm thinking that I'll be making the casserole carrier, if I can get the other Christmas presents made in time. I'm just getting back into sewing after a long hiatus, and I think that would be the perfect Christmas present to myself.
The Ty Pennington placemats were my favorite for two reasons: the hand-sewn detail that gives it a little handmade touch and the Ty Pennington fabrics which are, in my opinion, absolutely gorgeous because of their bright colors and exotic patterns. I also like the pouches and the napkins for that reason.
thank you for all of your tutorials always!
Well I did post, but forgot to log In. So I am hopes of winning! box_74462@yahoo.com
Wow! All the fabrics look just wonderful. It would be very hard to choose if they were offered in front of me. The laminated or the the offering from Melissa White's would more than likely be my choice, they just jump out at me. I have made the pillow case and my I say it turned out pretty nice!
I like the pillowcases with deep ruffled ends! I like many of the patterns/tutorials and each of them gives ideas which one can incorporate in other projects as well! Very informative, thank you! :) I live in Sweden, but IF I would win you could send the wonderful gift to my friend in USA who could send it further to me! :)Not big chance to win, I suppose, lol.Anyway, a lovely giveaway! :)
First of all, I love most of these, what a holiday treat! Thre one I want to make REALLY SOON is the all weather tote by Alchemy.
I just found this site and made the retro apron. The best part was learning how to use bias tape to trip the edges! The tutorial was just great. Thanks!
Definitely the ty's Placemats -- I am giving sets to my sisters and mom for Christmas! I loved the gorgeous colors and the combos of fabrics.
And I have finally conquered sewing an invisible zipper thanks to your tutorial.
I really like the All-Weather tote, but there were alot of cool projects to choose from :)

Every bit of this site has something beneficial...whether review, hints or something new to learn. Hard to pick, however, the evening clutch was my favorite....have two formal events attending annually. This cute pattern will allow custom design, a new one for each year at much less cost that finding something retail. Now if you could just sell time in a bottle to all of us that love to do each of your projects1
Wow, it's really hard to choose just one! I've made a list of your recent tutorials (sewn seam finishes, working with velvet and velveteen, etc) to go back and read after the holidays. But I guess if I had to pick just one it would be the zippered bags with tri-color tassles made with Ty Pennington fabric. It is such a useful bag!
Thanks for all your tutorials and Happy Holidays!
I just discovered Sew4Home and am enthralled by all the projects. I'm about to get back into sewing after a several year absence and my first project will likely be the roll up make up brush case since DH does woodturning and is making me a set of custom-turned make up brushes.

The Moda Mini clutch caught my eye. Too cute with the coordinating fabrics and a project I feel I can make that other would love to receive as a gift:) Thanks so much.

I love, love, love!!! the Pillow Cases with Deep Ruffles & Country Fresh Shopping Bag. I am a vintager addict and these georgeous fabric lines marry right into that decor. I am such a fan of all your designers, therefore, all projects are tremendous. As far as how-to's, I am most grateful for the refresher on working with velvet and velveteens. Today I will be making a red crushed velvet bow tie for Ivan, my daughters cat, who is master of her home in San Fran. With not having sewn with this fabric in over twenty years, the refresher is very beneficial. Thank you for the super "Give Away" and thanks to the designers and suppliers!
I love the zippered pouch and pocket tissue cover! I have about 13 coworkers I need to "gift" and the tissue covers will be a wonderful solution. Since I don't have the wonderful fabrics in the pictures I am going to use scraps from other projects and supplement with a few new fabrics (I'm always ready for an excuse to feed my fabric addiction). Three of my supervisors will receive the zippered pouch with gift cards for their favorite coffee place inside. I am also looking for supplies so I can gift myself with the velveteen and rayon wrap. This wrap looks like a perfect solution to the problem of a night on the town when the town is Chicago in December - burrr! Thanks for always have wonderful projects as well as tutorials, I have shared your site with all of my sewing friends.
Favorite? Hmm tough choice. I appreciate the articles on working with Velvet and Velveteen as well as Rayon and Linen. Good things to store in my cache as I'm putting together projects. I love as well the Lumbar pillow with Handstitched Accent. Very nice for my glider rocker I recently recovered! But my fav would have to be the zippered pouches with tri-colored tassels. Beautiful and having zippers with so many colored teeth is a real treat!
S4H has done it again. We love you all so much!!! Thank you for these wonderful articles and for the opportunity for the give away!!
Your website has become my go-to location for amping up my creativity and energy for trying new sewing projects! When I saw the Happy Holidays with Free Spirit & Rowan Pinwheel & Pom Pom Pillow it was just such a happy and festive project that I quickly made 2 pillows by following the wonderfully detailed instructions. The fabric selections in the tutorial gave me a fresh perspective on how to coordinate patterns that look both modern and yet appoachable. Loved making this project and I know my sister will be thrilled to receive them. I refer your site to all my sewing friends because frankly it's the best one out there!
The All weather tote and the tutorial on working with coated fabric was eye opening. My mind was racing with ideas, from lunch bags to school bags for the grand kids. It's very helpful when a product that I have never thought of using is featured.
Oops, I forgot to say how you could contact me. Email is best: ernies1trulove@yahoo.com Thanks!
If I had to choose a favorite, I'd pick the Happy Holidays with Ty Pennington Impressions: Ty Pennington Placemats because I'm relatively new to sewing and I found these pretty simple, yet stunningly beautiful. They also would make a great gift! (The fabrics were beautiful too!)
On top of my list of favorites is the sugar and spice throw. The fabrics are darling, but the pattern is so cute, the fabric choices are endless for this throw! I love the simple pattern and the small details. Also, there is a link to a binding tutorial, which is something I've been meaning to learn. All the tutorials on this site are so well made and lots of pictures to make them easy to follow. Thank you, I hope I win!

I love the Country Fresh Double Flounce Apron in Amelie's Attic. I have been making a bunch of aprons as gifts lately, and I wish I had seen this tutorial. I ended up making my own pattern, but I like this one better! THanks for the chance! libby dot bloom dot hunt at gmail dot com
AMAZING collection of patterns, tutorials and the most beautiful fabrics ever!! I LOVE Amy Butlers books too. This is quite difficult to pick between all of your tutorials. I've been following this blog for years now and have made so many of your tutorials. I'd have to say since my mother can't really teach me to sew anymore I have learned how here. I LOVE the All-weather tote in Alchemy and must make it! I had a hard time between that and the Quilted Sugar and Spice throw in Piroquette but the tote wins with me. So many of these are right up my alley and I don't believe I've seen quite a line up of beautiful fabrics together before. This is a great time to be a sewer with choices like these!!
There are several projects I've seen that I would love to try but the one that caught my attention is the Gypsy Romance: Three tiered skirt. I made one last night. It will be a Christmas present. And since it was pretty simple to make, today I am making myself one HA! Oh yeah...I will also be making the three of the Turquoise 2010: Market/craft Apron as Christmas presents for my crafty friends! Thanks for sharing great projects!
I loved the zippered pouch and pocket tissue cover post. I used your suggestions and ideas to make a baby wipe case like the tissue cover. My little friend just loved it!
Thanks for a chance to win.
Thanks for all your projects! I especially appreciated the tips on working with rayon and linen. I LOVE linen, but feel like crying when it starts unraveling. Next project I'm going to try serging the edges so it doesn't fray. Thanks, too, for offering the opportunity to win this gorgeous fabric!
I found the sewing tutorials very useful. As I have been looking into getting a ruffling foot, I really appreciated the gathering tutorial.
I really appreciate how soft the laminates are, especially in order to sew the "all weather tote." Laminates go way beyond shower curtains and table cloths now. I've been trying to figure out other projects to incorporate these vibrant fabrics.
