We picked a dozen of our favorite Valentine projects... even better than a dozen red roses, we thought! There are the four projects we recently completed in the new Kissing Booth collection by BasicGrey for Moda Fabrics, plus eight more classics we simply love to love. Beyond the new Kissing Booth collection, some of the other featured fabrics may no longer be available. But not to worry; we bring you the latest and greatest fabrics nearly every day here on Sew4Home! In fact, the current 10 Designers & 10 Collections series for FreeSpirit and Rowan has many wonderful choices that are in-stores now.
Kissing Booth eReader/Device Carrier with Pockets and Shoulder Strap
Fits a Barnes & Noble Nook®, a Kindle®, or the new iPad Mini®. The device drops in through a zippered top opening, there are handy pockets front and back, and we added a cool detachable shoulder strap.
Kissing Booth Cuddly Lap Blanket with Fleece Backing
The front is a patchwork of Layer Cake squares; the back is a cuddly fleece... so there's no need for batting. Each of the 16 cornerstone squares is tied through with a little yarn bow, creating the look of sixteen pretty gift boxes.
Kissing Booth Gift Basket with Angled Handles
A basket of goodies is a wonderful Valentine's Day gift idea. And if the basket is as pretty as ours, you're giving a gift within a gift. "V-point" handles and a big satin bow add unique touches that say, "I love you!"
Kissing Booth Double Layer Half Apron with Pockets, Tucks & More
Our elegant half apron features Dozen Roses in Cherry Cordial from Kissing Booth: a dense crush of watercolor roses with a textured lace overlay. We added jaunty oval pockets, pretty tucks and a rick rack hem for super sweet style.
Cedar Sachets For Closets Or Drawers
We took the idea of a traditional closet/drawer sachet and super-sized it as a Great-4-Guys Valentine's gift idea. You can make a simple pillow design or add a ribbon loop or ties so it can be stashed in the closet on a rod or hanger.
Vase Skirts With Velvet Bows
Dress up your plain glass vases with a pretty fabric skirt. Turn them from kitchen cabinet dust collectors into bright and beautiful flower stem vessels. Our skirts are ruffled and be-ribboned for a pretty, playful feel.
Voile Infinity Scarf
The infinity scarf is an endless circle of loveliness you can twist into a number of interesting shapes. It's a great look to dress up or down to suit any occasion. Best of all... an infinity scarf is very easy - and fast to make.
Box o' Chocolates Heart Pillows
A pleated chiffon sash across the center gives them the look of the classic heart-shaped boxed of assorted chocolates. Best of all: ZERO calories! We used Fat Quarters to make ours.
His & Hers Pajama Shorts
Jazz up your jammie-time with these adorable sleep shorts. There's one pair for Him with a drawcord and pocket, and one pair for Her with kicky ruffles and a satin bow. Make a pattern using an existing pair of your favorite shorts.
Happy Heart Apron
Patterned in the longer style of a French baker's apron, this is the perfect accessory to don when lovingly whipping up a romantic dinner for two. Believe it or not, it takes just a single yard of fabric thanks to our clever cutting plan.
Fabric Wrap Photo Mattes
Create a pretty fabric matte for an inexpensive frame and turn a favorite photo into a Valentine's memory. We patchworked eight squares from a charm pack, and added some ribbon as accents.
Fun Fur Pull-Thru Scarf & Matching Gloves
Brights are back, and we easily found ready-to-wear gloves in all kinds of great candy colors to match the available fun furs, like Caribbean turquoise, hot pink (a must for Valentine's style) or soda poppin' orange.
